Rome-Sunday
Sunday was quiet, with mass in a Michelangelo church that was once the Baths of Diocetian, lunch in a Sardinian trattoria, a walk in the park and a few hours at the Villa Borghese.

Florence
I took a one day trip to Florence, spending 10 hectic hours there, sandwiched between two
90-minute train rides from/to Rome.
I think Caitlin had a better idea.
A dome and bell tower, neither of which I climbed
Bridges, none of which I crossed
Detail from Michelangelo's Pieta. Not the one I saw at the '64 World's Fair in Queens. I paid 8 euros to see the wrong one but I did get a picture and the satisfaction of annoying yet another guard.
A candle for Elly and another one for Aunt Eileen at the Dome church
The leader so far in the tourist self portrait competition.
